Scott Drew: All Access Baylor Basketball Practice 3-Pack DVD by Scott Drew
Scott Drew:
All Access Baylor Basketball Practice
3-Pack DVD by Scott Drew

"... You are standing in the Baylor Bears locker room before a recent game. This might be the loudest locker room in sports. A high-tech speaker system blares hip-hop — “I Did It For My Dawgs,” by DJ Khaled, “I’m Different,” by 2 Chainz — and it’s so loud you have to lean in if you want to hear anyone talking (Coaches put clean versions of the songs on their pre-game playlist, not explicit versions. This is still a Baptist school, after all). This is so much a part of this team’s identity that they bring their speaker system to road games.

The philosophy of how Baylor treats its players is borne right out of Drew’s personality: Be positive. Nurture these kids, don’t tear them down. ..."
Reid Forgrave

• Build a fundamentally sound defensive unit using various close-out,
rebounding, and shell drills that focus on both technique and positioning
• Learn ball screen sets and the motion offense that Baylor uses to score
successfully in the post and to get open perimeter shots in transition
• Learn 3v3 drills to work specific aspects of both your offense and defense
• Beat different types of screens by using variations of the 4-on-4 shell drill

with Scott Drew, Baylor Head Coach;
2 Elite Eight appearances; 2010 Big 12 Runners-up

Scott Drew has built the Baylor program into a consistent contender in the Big 12. Now you can learn the secrets to his hard working success!

Coach Drew lays out his defensive philosophy as he builds the Baylor defensive system from day one of practice. You will see how he teaches every aspect of the game as he coaches a young basketball team into the 2012-13 season.

Please, Refresh this Page Once to Load all the Previews, Photographs or the Videos !

Day 1 Practice:

Coach Drew provides a look into a video session used to reinforce good habits within his young basketball team. Rebounding, closeouts and transition defense initiate this practice.

He details what a good and bad rebound looks like and how a team should look when they get back in transition defense. Drew quickly works through a series of fundamental drills to get his players going.

Next, the Bears go through a post development workout, where the players practice finishing at the rim with duck-ins, cheat steps and lobs over the top.

Drew guides you through progressive closeout drills, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, and then spends a good amount of time working 5-on-5 scenarios where his players work on all aspects of the game, including half-court defense, offense and the transition game.

Day 2 Practice:

Coach Drew continues right where he left off placing a strong emphasis on defensive rebounding and transition. He demonstrates what his players need to do to be successful when rebounding in the Big 12 by using a 1-on-1 box drill to teach proper form and technique when boxing out.

He provides you with a look at how to defend the post pass and rotate out of it in his 4-on-4 diamond shell drill, which is another way to use shell defense to teach your principles.

You will learn how to defend or score in transition when he demonstrates his Build Up Transition Drill. However, not everything Drew does will focus on the defensive end. In a 5-on-5 half court scenario he demonstrates the Baylor ball screen motion offense that includes several ball screen sets you can implement into your playbook right away.

Day 3 Practice:

Coach Drew uses his third practice session to spend time teaching post player and perimeter offensive skills. He uses 2-on-2 and 1-on-1 drills to teach proper post play technique and moves your players can use effectively to score against any opponent.

You will spend time breaking down your offensive screening action in a 4-on-4 half court drill. Players will get the chance to learn how to react off of a screen and how to counter what the defense is doing in order to be successful basketball players.

Drew will help you develop the necessary player IQ to keep your offense scoring against any defense your opponent throws at you.

This is a great DVD for any high school coach looking to add to their defensive philosophy or looking to add ball screen action within their motion offense.

Scott Drew: All Access Baylor Basketball Practice 3-Pack DVD by Scott Drew

About the Author: Coach Scott Drew
Scott Drew: All Access Baylor Basketball Practice 3-Pack DVD by Scott Drew
Coach Scott Drew is a former first vice president for the NABC Assistant Coaches Committee and previously served on the National Invitation Tournament advisory committee.

A 1993 graduate of Butler University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree, Drew earned a master's degree from Valparaiso in 1994. Drew worked with Butler's men's basketball program from 1991-93.

Drew and his wife Kelly are the parents of one daughter, Mackenzie, and two sons, Peyton and Brody.

On Aug. 22, 2003, Scott Drew assumed Baylor's head coaching position and took over one of college basketball's most daunting rebuilding projects ever.

From 2007-12, Baylor rose to national prominence with Drew leading the team to four 20-win seasons, four postseason appearances and a Big 12-best and school-record 10 postseason wins. The Bears advanced to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in two of the last three seasons, made the 2009 NIT championship game and played in the 2008 NCAA Tournament, marking their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1988.

Drew completed his 10th season as a Division I head coach in 2011-12, when he led the Bears to a school-record 30 wins and the 2012 NCAA Tournament South Regional Final -- making the Bears one of only six programs nationally with two Elite Eight appearances in the last three seasons. For the first time in program history, the Bears were ranked throughout the 2011-12 season, reaching as high as No. 3 and never dropping lower than 14th in the AP or coaches polls.

LA program-record three players were selected in the 2012 NBA Draft. Perry Jones III, Quincy Acy and Quincy Miller gave the Bears the nation's third-most draftees, trailing only Kentucky and North Carolina.

Baylor's 10-3 postseason record over the last four seasons is the Big 12's best, as the Bears went 3-1 on their way to the Elite Eight in both the 2010 and 2012 NCAA Tournaments, and Drew led Baylor to four wins en route to the 2009 NIT title game. In 2009-10, Drew guided the Bears to then-school records for overall (28), Big 12 (11) and home (15) victories.

Drew is the only coach to guide Baylor to four postseason appearances and 10 postseason wins. His teams have averaged 24.2 wins over the last five seasons, giving Baylor five straight winning campaigns for the first time since 1966-67 through 1972-73. Drew has compiled a 177-135 overall record with a 157-124 mark in nine seasons at Baylor.

It's amazing to think about how far the Baylor basketball program has risen in the last years. This report from ESPN's Outside The Lines underscores just how bad things were when Scott Drew took over 6 players, open tryouts--bad enough that Bill Cosby came in to cheer us all up. And now Baylor is a 3 seed in the tournament.

Andrew Grantz: 4-Out 1-In Attack and React Motion Offense by Andrew Grantz
Andrew Grantz:
4-Out 1-In Attack
and React Motion Offense
2-Pack DVD
by Andrew Grantz

Andrew Grantz has taken elements of two very popular offenses, the Read and React and the Dribble Drive Motion, and made them into his own system - The Attack and React Offense.

This offense will allow you to teach players how to play basketball and not just how to run set plays. There are so many different options and phases that you can pick and choose what you need to exploit your team's strengths and hide your team's weaknesses.

In this DVD, Coach Grantz introduces 16 different phases of the offense, starting with the most basic, and shows how you how you can successfully use as many or as few as you need. Using whiteboard diagrams and on-the-court demonstrations, each phase is broken down into a specific reaction that builds on another phase.

• Combine the strengths of the Dribble Drive and the Read and React
    into one potent offense!
• Tailor your offense to your team's strengths and abilities
without the use of set plays
• Allow your entire team to function cohesively rather than one player
trying to breakdown their man 1-on-1
• Create an offense that is a simple or as complex as your team requires

Stressing the importance of spacing the floor, Grantz utilizes six perimeter spots and a post player to lay the foundation for the offense. The three initial phases include:

Please, Refresh this Page Once to Load all the Previews, Photographs or the Videos !

• Phase 1: The Dribble Drive Phase - This phase starts with the very basics
of the offense and attacking the basket,
as well as how the rest of the players react to the ball movements.
Grantz explains the action above and below the drive line,
the importance of NBA 3-point line spacing, the pitchout,
   the lift and other actions.

• Phase 2: The Pass and Cut Offense - This motion is dominated by
the give-and-go principle and the ability to cut to score.
This action provides for double gaps which can lead
into the flow of the dribble drive.

• Phase 3: Post Entry - This is final piece of the basic set up of
the offense. This includes not only the post-up but the inclusion
of the high and low "Laker" cuts and the appropriate spot-filling
for passes out of double teams in the post.

The rest of the phases consists of the add-ons to the offense. This includes the rules for baseline driving, the dribble-through, ball screens, various screening actions, and various counters and options off of other plays.

As a bonus, Coach Gantz gives a lesson on how to get the ball up court in transition and in out-of-bounds situations and into the flow of the Attack and React Offense. This fast break makes it very easy to convert to the half-court offense if you don't score off the initial break.

When you feel comfortable adding a new phase to your offense, you can do so very easily. Pick and choose out of the 16 phases to make options that best fit your team, no matter what level you coach.

The best part of this offense is how complex or simple you want to make it. The Attack and React is a player-friendly offense that can break down the defense and lead to a lot of easy buckets.

This is a complete offensive system. Whatever your preferred method of offense - screening for shooters, back cuts and back screens, no screens, ball screens, etc. - this offense is adaptable to your style and to your team's strengths. You can put this offense in at the junior high, high school, or college level. Use this offense with a group of developing players over the course of several years or with a group of advanced players to create a fun, unstoppable offense!

"... A great offense for any level! My players can learn how to play the game. You have done something special for basketball. So simple & so sweet! ..."
Coach Robert Alfeld, 8th Grade Boys Coach, New Haven (IN)

"... This is a great video. I would recommend this video to any program, regardless of the level of competition. Coach Grantz does a great job in breaking down each phase. If you don't have this video you're missing out big time. ..."
Coach Demps

"... Great video; I would recommend to all youth league, middle school, and high school coaches. The system combines the best features of the DDM and the R&R. I have been using it with my Middle School Team & by Travel Teams. ..."
Coach Chris

"... This is a great video. I love the way coach fuses the DDM with Read and React. My team has run DDM for four years and I was looking to add more movement and screening actions and this offense was the ticket. Very well made video. Good white board depictions and then coach goes on the court with the players. The video also comes with a PDF you can use to print everything out. That was very helpful. If I was nitpicking, I wish there would have been some good breakdown drills of each phase. I would also like to have seen more 5-on-5 action. All in all worth a look. ..."

All Access Oklahoma State
Basketball Practice
3-Pack DVD
with Travis Ford

Entering his fifth season at Oklahoma State, head coach   Travis Ford has re-energized the Cowboy Basketball program, both on the court and in the eyes of the OSU faithful. His drive and   determination is infectious, as his student-athletes strive to succeed in competition and in the classroom.

Ford's outgoing personality is contagious, and has made him a quick favorite of the Oklahoma State fans. He is considered one of the leading young coaches in the country, by both the national media and his peers in the coaching community.

Ford is able to maximize each and every student-athlete's contribution to the team through his uncanny ability to encourage and motivate.

• Turn up the pressure at both ends of the court!
• Implement and install Coach Ford's Power Offense
in the half court and full court settings
• Force your opponents into low percentage shots using
Oklahoma State's "protect the paint" mentality
• Build an attacking defense by using a combination
   of 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4, and 5-on-5 competitive drills

with Travis Ford, Oklahoma State University Head Coach;
2008 NIT Championship Runner-up

Go to practice with Travis Ford and his staff as they build the foundation for their 2012-13 season. Using live, on-court practice drills and explanations, Coach Ford demonstrates how to build an attacking pressure defense starting with 1-on-1 drills and progressing to 5-on-5 full court defensive pressure.

Practice 1

Ford wants his team to play aggressive, full court defense and work together to stop dribble penetration and pass entry. Coach details how to properly closeout and deny your opponent the paint through various drills including 1-on-0 closeout and zig-zag.

As part of their season-long emphasis on rebounding better, Ford uses a competitive 4-on-4 circle rebounding drill to emphasize attacking the glass on the offensive and defensive end. He gives you drills that teach your players defensive techniques and strategies for defending the dribble hand-off, down screen action, ball screen action, and post play.

Practice 2

Coach Ford rolls out his offensive system and teaches you the basics and breakdowns for his "Power" Offense. Coach uses fundamental drills to build the necessary skills your players will need to be successful in any offensive system. He progressively works his way from individual ball handling against pads to two-ball passing, to individual shooting from game spots, to 3-on-0 transition breaks that include actions within the Power Offense. Watch everything come together with full court and half court 5-on-0 and 5-on-5 situations, including scoring options within the Power Offense.

Practice 3

In the final practice session, Coach Ford meshes his attacking offensive and defensive philosophies together. You will see how he uses 3-on-0, 5-on-0 and 5-on-5 situations to create a game-like atmosphere.

He uses a competitive 5-on-4 defensive transition to work on stopping the ball in the open court and preventing easy buckets. By creating disadvantages in practice, your team will be able to build an illusion on the defensive end that no offensive player is open for an easy bucket.

You will also see 5-on-5 half court possessions that demonstrate secondary break options and counter scoring options within the Power Offense.

This All Access DVD is a great choice for any high school coach looking to create an aggressive, attacking strategy that puts 94 feet of pressure on their opponents!

• Turn up the pressure at both ends of the court!
• Implement and install Coach Ford's Power Offense
in the half court and full court settings
• Force your opponents into low percentage shots using
Oklahoma State's "protect the paint" mentality
• Build an attacking defense by using a combination
   of 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4, and 5-on-5 competitive drills

with Travis Ford, Oklahoma State University Head Coach;

This All Access DVD is a great choice for any high school coach looking to create an aggressive, attacking strategy that puts 94 feet of pressure on their opponents!

and MAAC Coach of the Year

Learn how to implement the most successful pick and roll systems use at the highest competitive levels all over the world.

Fran Fraschilla, international basketball expert, compares the American style of pick and roll with the international style and describes why the concept of having four perimeter players has led to more skill development within the international community. He provides you with a detailed look at the side pick and roll and spread pick and roll half court offenses that have made the international game competitive, even with the NBA.

Coach Fraschilla uses on-court demonstrators to show you how to space your players to successfully run the pick and roll. He demonstrates three, side pick and roll plays outlining actions your team can use to score off of dribble penetration in the paint or a kick-out option to the perimeter. These sets include the:

• Butler Pick and Roll Action that has made their offense so effective.

• Lithuanian Continuity Offense using side pick and rolls
and dribble hand-offs throughout the offense.

• Spread Pick and Roll Offense that has been a big part of many international
teams' rise to the World Championships. He offers several looks
that will get you into your spread  pick and roll offensive system.

Basketball Drills
for Building Your
Man-to-Man Defense

• Learn drills that will increase your team's
ability to play better help defense

• Prevent the ball from splitting defenders
while still recovering to your man

• Use the overload principle in your
   defensive drills to push your

with Fran Fraschilla, International Basketball Analyst for ESPN,
former Division I college basketball coach
(Manhattan College, St. John's University
and University of New Mexico),
former NABC District II Coach of the Year
and MAAC Coach of the Year

See a logical, systematic way to build your defense.

ESPN college basketball analyst and international basketball expert Fran Fraschilla presents you with a progressive way to build your man-to-man defense through the use of practice drills.

Coach Fraschilla has spent years coaching and studying the game of basketball and has put together a thorough guide on man-to-man defense and principles. This is not an instructional DVD that is going to tell you exactly how to play your man-to-man defense, rather it focuses on building your program. Fraschilla guides you through extensive principles and philosophy that will make you think about how you teach your man-to-man defense.

Coach Fraschilla outlines his four points of emphasis that every man defense needs to incorporate: ball pressure, no splits, closeout and contest, and finish the possession. Fraschilla uses visual aids and charts to show the progressive style, both offensively and defensively, allowing his coaching staff to be prepared for any situation.

You will see six practice drills you can use to put all your defensive principles, strategies, and tactics together in various combinations. Fraschilla uses 4-on-4 drills to incorporate defending dribble penetration, staggered action, and defending screens. He emphasizes stunting and foot faking to take away offensive advantages when your defense is put into a tight situation. Coach describes the numerous variations you can create with a 4-on-4 shell drill, as well as:

• A 3-man series drill that will help you prepare for your opponents
offensive screening action early in the season.

• Drills that will progressively build your man defense principles
by using 4-on-4 and 3-on-3 half court demonstrations.

Coach Fraschilla uses the progressive build-up drills to make you think about your man-to-man principles. Coach describes ways to help you maintain your vision on the defensive end of the floor.

Coach Frischilla's building man-to-man defense DVD is great for any coach that is looking to improve their man-to-man philosophy or just starting out and looking to build their philosophy.

"... Coach Schmidt is a great recruiter who has had a tremendous amount of success in the Midwest and has even branched out to find players in the South. He has graduated players to high-major conferences including the Big Ten, Big East, SEC and ACC. Many of his players have found success at the mid-major level over the years including in the MAC.

During his career he has coached 15 All-Americans and three National Player of the Year Award winners. Sophomore John Taylor, a guard from the west side of Chicago, has a great chance to be his fourth.

I could tell you a lot of stories that would outline the above mentioned blueprint in words, knowing that the mark of a great coach is more than just about wins and losses; but, I also know that coaching at a high level is a bottom-line business and winning championships is the difference between good and great.

Coach Schmidt is married to the game. ..."
