(Spanish below) Some things which are bugging me in the decision:

Outlook seems to catch more spam: Thunderbird's spam filter isn't any better than Outlook's junk mail filter;
In my default view emails are grouped by date. Outlook provides more ways to sort and organize email, which is very helpful.
Outlook gives me a way to look at all unread mail in one place, which is useful if you use a lot of filters.
Outlook has an integrated calendar, of course.
It is possible to create a follow-up reminder that will prompt be on a specific date and time to get back to a particular message.

Outlook parece parar más spam: el filtro de spam del Thunderbird no es mejor que el filtro de spam del Outlook;

(Spanish below) I know this is no the right place to this topic, but in the other forums I couldn't receive help and as a basketball coach, I am here...
I need to decide what to use: Thunderbird's mail client or Outlook Express, because I send a lot of emails to my players, parents, coaches.... The election of a good e-mail client is important for trainings programs, institutions and clinics....
Thunderbird does not have the flexibility of Outlook Express. Stationery not  works as in OE, no background music in the emails or any number of things I did with Outlook Express that I cannot do with Thunderbird. Fact: Thunderbird does not have nearly the features that I like and need and have become used to in Outlook Express. Somebody said to me "If you use Thunderbird be prepared to give up a lot of the features you have grown to like about Outlook Express". Please, help me to decide.....
