'24 Seconds Rule' Cases Analysis
'Regla de los 24 Segundos': Casos y Análisis

• 24 Segundos con Cambio o Tiempo Muerto
• 24 Seconds with Changes or Time Out

( for English Translation= See Below )

On a shot for a field goal, the ball is in the air when the twenty-four second device signal sounds.
The ball then enters the basket. At this time:
1. Either one or both teams request substitutions.
2. Either one or both teams request time-outs.

'24 Seconds Rule' Cases Analysis
'Regla de los 24 Segundos': Casos y Análisis

• Legal Plays: Game Clock is not Stopped
• Jugada Legal: Reloj de Juego No Para

( para Traducción al Español= Ver a Continuación )

Rule Fundamental=
If the 24-second device sounds in error, while the team has control of the ball or neither team has control of the ball, the signal sound shall be disregarded and the game shall continue.

Ruling=
The play is legal in 1.- and 2.-. The game clock is not stopped and therefore play continues with a new 24-second period.

eBA Basketball Statistical Tracking=
Nothing in particular: FGA for A1; Defensive Rebound for B1 or Offensive Rebound for A2. The possession account is not altered by this error because the game clock is not stopped.

'24 Seconds Rule' Cases Analysis
'Regla de los 24 Segundos': Casos y Análisis

• Los "24 segundos" Suenan por Error
• The 24-second Device Signal Sounds in Error

( for English Translation= See Below )

1.- B1;
2.- A2;

Whilst a shot for goal by A1 is in flight to the basket the 24-second device signal sounds in error. The ball then hits the ring and is rebounded by:
1.- B1;
2.- A2;
which is the rule and the statistical tracking if there is a violation ?

'24 Seconds Rule' Cases Analysis
'Regla de los 24 Segundos': Casos y Análisis

• Ball in the air when the twenty-four second device signal sounds

( for English Translation= See Below )

According with the rules when a shot for field goal is attempted near the end of the twenty-four second period and the signal sounds while the ball is in the air, if the ball hits the backboard or misses the ring, a violation has occurred unless the opponents have gained immediate and clear control of the ball.

So in this case, we have a twenty-four second violation because the ball missed the ring and then there was no immediate control of the ball by the opponents. Team B is awarded the ball for a throw-in from the endline place nearest to where the violation occurred ( but not from behind the backboard ).

eBA Basketball Statistical Tracking=
FGA for A1 and Team Rebound for Team B ( and no for B3 ! ).

A shot for goal made by A1 is in the air when the twenty-four second device signal sounds. The ball touches the backboard and then rolls on the floor, here it is touched by B1 followed by A2 and is finally controlled by B3. Which is the rule and the statistical register of this play ?
