Cuando el balón es lanzado (pasado) en dirección del aro desde atrás de la línea de tres puntos con la posibilidad de entrar en el aro por encima, es desviado por un defensor ubicado dentro de la línea de 3 puntos, si el balón entrare una conversión de tres puntos será registrada.

Sin problemas: Tc + Deflexión.

Sin embargo, si no había posibilidad de que el balón entrare al aro por encima y el desvío o deflexión  - "deflection" - causa la conversión, dos puntos serán registrados.

Registro eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto=
un lanzamiento de 2 (no de 3!) convertido será registrado para el atacante y una deflección para el defensor.

Cuando el balón es lanzado (pasado) en dirección del aro desde atrás de la línea de tres puntos con la posibilidad de entrar en el aro por encima, es desviado por un integrante del mismo equipo del lanzador, si el balón entrare una conversión de dos puntos será registrada.

Registro Estadístico eBA=
En el primer caso, desde el momento en que el balón estaba muerto antes que el balón estuviera en vuelo, no registrar un Ti a  A1, pero si con un balón perdido en la categoría de  'falta en ataque', una falta personal cometida y registrar un robo de balón en la categoría de 'falta en ataque recibida' y una falta personal recibida a favor de B1.

En el segundo caso, la falta fue cometida después que el balón estuviera en vuelo, acreditar a A1 un Ti y una falta personal cometida y registrar una falta recibida a B1.

Comentarios=
Si el estadígrafo está en duda sobre si la falta ocurrió antes o después de que el balón estuviera en vuelo, las señales de los jueces indicarán la regla correcta para el Registro eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto:
En el 1er. Caso= si la falta ocurrió antes de que balón estuviera en vuelo, ésta será indicada como una "falta en control de equipo - team control
foul";
En el 2do. Caso= si la falta ocurrió después que el balón estuviera en vuelo, el juez no indicará control de equipo - team control.

Sin embargo, en este caso de pase desviado por la defensa, obviamente no se trata de un intento, por tanto anotamos 2 puntos.

Actualmente existe una circunstancia en la que no se concede la canasta dando el balón al oponente para una puesta en juego desde fuera del campo:  el reloj de lanzamiento expira antes que el balón entra en el aro y el tiempo para un cuarto termina.
