En este caso tenemos una violación. Es preciso decir que si el jugador pierde momentáneamente el balón y lo recupera, se debería considerar esta situación y no penar violación. Pero si la acción es un drible, debemos considerar el hecho que será entonces muy fácil pasar a un defensor con un amague.
En otro momento del juego, si ningún defensor fue desplazado por el bote del balón, el juez solo advertirá al jugador. Pero con sólo 4 segundos por jugar, la acción puede hacer la diferencia entre lograr una conversión o no.
Es una violación si el bote del balón fue una acción deliberada.

Para conceder un Tiempo Muerto el equipo del jugador que lo pide debe estar claramente en control del balón, y de acuerdo a su pregunta y la situación: si el jugador no puede llegar al balón, el no está en control del mismo, no se concede Tiempo Muerto y el juego continúa con una pérdida de posesión para el equipo de A y B y una puesta en juego desde el lateral a favor del equipo oponente.

En el segundo caso, cuando el jugador no posee (agarra) el balón y lo palmea dentro del aro antes de que la señal de final de período suene, el juez debe utilizar equipo de replay, videotape o monitoreo de televisión, cuando sea posible y ubicada en el campo de juego, para determinar si la palmada (intento) que decidirá el resultado del partido fue realizado antes de la señal de finalización. Si, utilizando el monitor, el juez establece que el intento exitoso fue una toma del balón (el jugador tuvo posesión del balón), el juez debe cancelar la conversión pues fue contado de manera equivocada y puede ser corregido conforme a la Regla 2-10.1.c.

En el reloj de juego, restan dos décimas de segundo para finalizar un período.
Al Equipo A le es concedido el balón para una puesta en juego desde la línea central.
A1 pasa el balón a A2 quien:

1. toma el balón con ambas manos en el aire y lo lanza hacia el aro.
2. palmotea el balón hacia el interior del aro (no toma el balón).

En ambos casos el balón está en el aire en su camino hacia el aro cuando la señal de fin del partido es escuchada.

Del Libro de Reglas:
"Después de una conversión, el equipo al que no fue acreditado con la conversión hace un lanzamiento de puesta en juego desde cualquier punto fuera de los límites de la línea de fondo del campo. Cualquier jugador del equipo puede hacer un lanzamiento directo hacia adentro del campo o puede pasar el balón paralelamente a la línea de fondo a un jugador de su mismo equipo detrás de la línea limítrofe de fondo."

Entonces, no existe tal restricción y se puede tener una múltiple cantidad de pases de ida y vuelta, además de que cada jugador puede correr por la línea de base, siendo la única restricción sobre lo que ocurra es que esto ocurra detrás de la línea de fondo.
