Free Agent Bosmans from D-League Last Season
and Players with Significant HIGH LEVEL League European Experience

Dear Coach,

My name is Gilad Berkowitz, President of Berkowitz Career Ventures, US basketball agency and I have both free Agent Bosmans from D-League last season and players with significant high level league European experience for team to consider. I wanted to bring them to your attention.

Below is the current list of FA's I have. I have agent partner Brian Brundage of Worldwide Career Management FIBA licence n°: 2012027493 that does our agreements if you are interested. They are very much steals b/c they have not been signed yet due to D-League and NBA workouts but are now available.

Do you have any thoughts on any of these guys once cuts are made? Any idea whether ownerships can bring them in for workouts?? Wish you best of luck this season!

We just signed a new player Will Foster from Gonzaga (NCAA D1)

Coach,

I wanted to see you are in the need of a center this season.

We just signed a new player Will Foster from Gonzaga (NCAA D1)

Let me know if you have any interest in him.

Will Foster 5
Center
7'5'/226cm
259lbs/118kg
Wingspan: 7'7 '
Points Per Game: 3.4
Rebounds Per Game: 4.7
Blocks Per Game: 2.0
Nationality: USA
College: Gonzaga (NCAA D1)
Previous Team: Maine Red Claws (D-League)

At 7'5", Will Foster is one of the tallest NBA prospects to ever play NCAA Division I basketball. Born in Booney Lake, Washington, he attended White River High School where he easily averaged a double-double with 17.5 points per game and 14 rebounds per game. After being heavily recruited by top college programs, he settled on basketball power house, Gonzaga University where he enjoyed a great career making the NCAA tournament in each of his four playing years and the Sweet 16 in 2009. Coming out of Gonzaga, he was drafted into the NBA D-League where he has since played for the Idaho Stampede, Rio Grande Vipers, Sioux Falls Skyforce and most recently the Maine Red Claws.

Will is an athletic big man that can run the floor, block shots, and grab rebounds at both ends. Using his 7'7" wingspan, he can take up a lot of space in the paint and force the defender to change their shot with great efficiency. He's got superior basketball intelligence and is the type of player that makes his teammates around him play better. Will is an impact player that can contribute immediately.

AVAILABLE Players that are Looking to Help Team

Coach,

How is the season going?

I wanted to see you are in the need of a replacement player.

We just signed a few players that I wanted to show you.

Let me know if any of the players interest you.

Tony Bennett 1/2

Point Guard / Guard
6’1”/185cm
175lbs/79.3kg
Wingspan: 6’2”
Points per Game: 19.0
Assists per Game: 8.0
Rebounds per Game: 4.0
Nationality: USA
College: Bradley University (NCAA D1)
Previous Team: Kankakee Country Soldiers (IBA)

Tony Bennett (DOB: August 22, 1984) started off his basketball career at Westinghouse High School in Chicago, Illinois and in 2002 he led his team to a State Championship title. After having a strong high school career he decided to attend Pratt Community College where he played two seasons, averaging 19.6 points per game. Once he graduated from junior college Bennett took his basketball talents to play at NCAA Division I Bradley University.

At Bradley he averaged 11.2 points per game over two seasons and in 2006 he helped his team to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. Following his graduation, he immediately jumped into professional basketball internationally where he's become an experienced veteran that has had playing time in Finland, Mexico, Canada and France. Bennett is consistently honing his skills and  keeping in great basketball shape to be ready at a moment’s notice for the next opportunity. He's a great player that knows how to get down the court, score, and distribute the ball.

http://worldwidecareermanagement.com/bio.cfm?cl=50

Zack Crimmins 5

Center
7’0”/213cm
220lbs/100kg
Wingspan: 7’3”
Points per Game: 15.8
Rebounds per Game: 6.1
Steals per Game: 0.7
3 Point Percentage: 25%
Nationality: USA
College: Columbia University (NCAA D1)
Previous Team: MBK Handlova (Slovakia)

Crimmins is a 7-footer with great shooting range and he can extend defenses with his 3pt shooting. He is surprisingly athletic and has quick feet around the basket. Very high basketball IQ and can read the defense well. He has a strong face-up game which is equally balanced on either side of the floor, he is very affective in the low post or around the high posts.

Probably one of the best things about Zack Crimmins is the way he can run the floor. He will excel in a fast paced offense and can run the court with most guards. He is a high-energy player on both ends of the court and is a solid shot-blocker.

http://worldwidecareermanagement.com/bio.cfm?cl=51

Matt Humphrey 3/2

6'7”/213cm
205lbs/100kg
Wingspan: 6’8”
Points Per Game: 10.3
Rebounds Per Game: 3.0
Assists Per Game: 1.6
Steals Per Game: 1.1
3 point Percentage 31.3%
Nationality: USA
College: West Virginia (NCAA D1)

Growing up in Chicago, Matt Humphrey made a name for himself in high school where he helped his team to a 30-4 record and the Class A State Championship as a freshman. As a senior, he earned Chicago Sun Times 2A All-State first-team honors and represented the USA on the U18 National Team that won the Silver medal at the 2008 FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Argentina. After high school, he chose to attend the University of Oregon where he played his first two seasons of NCAA D1 college ball. After Oregon, he went to Boston College for two seasons and finished out his collegiate career with West Virginia.

Humphrey has the talent to play in the top leagues where his NBA height and skills allow him to excel at the 3 position. He's a capable threat from the 3-point range and he's got the length and quickness to get past the defender and finish at the rim. Being that he's played with some of the top teams at the highest collegiate level, he's got a great familiarity with multiple offensive and defensive schemes which help at both ends of the floor.

GREECE - Legendary status assured for Spanoulis

Never were truer words said than at the end of April when Andrea Trinchieri spoke about the great players of European basketball at his unveiling as new Greece coach.

The Italian was asked about the make-up of his squad and the possible return of national team greats Theo Papaloukas and Dimitris Diamantidis for EuroBasket 2013.

The two haven't featured for Greece for some time, with Papaloukas last appearing at the 2008 Olympics and Diamantidis at the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

"There are three dominant players in Europe," Trinchieri said, "Diamantidis, (Vassilis) Spanoulis and (Juan Carlos) Navarro.

"We are lucky to have one."

That 'one' is Spanoulis.

Panathinaikos star Diamantidis retired from the national team after the Greeks' elimination from the World Championship in Turkey, and Barcelona guard Navarro is a leading light in Spain's national team.

Olympiacos ace Spanoulis, at 30 years of age, is in the prime of his career and remains a lynchpin in the Greek team.

The 1.93m combo-guard seems, at long last, to be getting the sort of praise that he has deserved for a long time.

He went into this season with Olympiacos having twice been named as the Euroleague Final Four MVP, and Spanoulis has always been a terrific player for the national team, too.

But when it comes to the Euroleague and the national side, there have been other Greek greats.

In the triumphant EuroBasket squad of 2005 that Spanoulis played in, Greece had Diamantidis and Papaloukas make the All-Tournament Team.

At the 2006 FIBA World Championship, Spanoulis poured in 22 points in the 101-95 triumph over the United States, one of the most famous results in the history of the international game, and led Greece in scoring at 11.7 points per contest in Japan.

Yet Papaloukas was the lone Greek to make the All-Tournament Team that year.

Spanoulis heard applause, but he didn't shine as bright in the first several years of his national team career because of Papaloukas and Diamantidis, and the iconic presence of coach Panagiotis Giannakis.

Diamantidis and Papaloukas have also been recognized as the best player in the Euroleague.

There is no doubt about the best player in Europe, and the leader of the Greek team now.

Spanoulis has missed only one tournament with the national side, EuroBasket 2011, since making his senior team debut at the 2004 Olympics, and that was because of injury.

He has endured some disappointments with Greece.

In 2008, Spanoulis missed a three-pointer in the waning seconds that would have beaten Argentina in the Olympic Quarter-Finals, and in 2012 at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) he missed six of 12 free-throws in a one-point defeat to Nigeria that knocked the Greeks out of contention for a spot in the London Games.

Even so, his struggles at the charity stripe that day masked what had been an otherwise tremendous display, though, one in which he poured in 25 points, handed out five assists and grabbed seven rebounds.

Spanoulis had gone into that tournament not long after winning his second Euroleague Final Four MVP award.

Champions know how to bounce back from disappointment and Spanoulis certainly has.

In fact, he has outdone himself.

Spanoulis the both the MVP of the Euroleague season, and the Final Four.

In the title game against Real Madrid, fans in London saw a vintage Spanoulis effort in the second half.

Shut out in the first half, he erupted for 22 points after the intermission to lead the Reds to a 100-88 victory.

When asked about his performances, Spanoulis normally answers with "we" instead of "I" because he only likes to talk about the team.

He did speak in the first person, though, after being presented with his second straight Final Four MVP award.

“The last two games (against CSKA Moscow and Real Madrid) have been very difficult for me," he said.

"I always faced two or three players on me.

"But this is my role.

"I attract players on me to open up other players.

"I tried to look and find out what would be the best solution and try to see what Real Madrid was doing and I was better in the second half."

Spanoulis expects to add another trophy to the Olympiacos awards cabinet, with a likely play-off title showdown against Panathinaikos on the horizon.

After that, he'll return to the Greece team and play at the EuroBasket in Slovenia for Trinchieri and attempt to lead his country into the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Following European adventure, PJ Tucker rises for Suns

The U.S. Army used to advertise itself as a nice way to see the world.

Indeed, Anthony “P.J.” Tucker’s world travels started that way. His father was a soldier and the family transferred to Germany shortly after he was born. But he decided later that basketball was a better option to get the pages of his passport stamped.

Now, after playing with seven teams in six countries over five years, Tucker and his well-worn passport are back in the USA and NBA with the Phoenix Suns.

The 27-year-old never viewed success overseas as his way back to the world’s pinnacle league. The money in Europe was good and he enjoyed the variety of places he got to call, albeit temporary, home.

"I didn’t even think about coming back; it was never on my mind," said Tucker.

"I won three championships and three MVPs. I was one of the top players in Europe so I was happy with my career and how it was going. Coming back wasn’t a priority of mine."

Leaving the University of Texas behind - where he was named Big 12 Player of the Year an All-American, and a John Wooden Award finalist - the 1.98m native of Raleigh, North Carolina headed to Canada as the Toronto Raptors second round pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

He bounced between the Raptors and their D-League affiliate in Colorado, getting playing time in only 17 games for the NBA franchise that waived him in March 2007.

After playing in that year's summer league with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tucker decided his hoop fortunes lay elsewhere.

He made pilgrimage to the promised land where he was named league MVP on the way to lifting Hapoel Holon to the Israeli Ligat championship, breaking Maccabi Tel Aviv’s 14 year reign at the top.

"Israel was nice," says Tucker of his time there. "I really liked Israel. Jerusalem was nice but the beaches, they have everything. You can have fun there."

Jeff Horowitz, who played with Tucker at Holon recalled his team-mate's positive mindset.

"P.J. was one of the most adaptable players I have ever played with," he said. "He truly enjoyed everywhere he played. He just wanted to maximize his time and experiences overseas."

But pro basketball is a business and combined with Tucker’s wandering spirit, he moved on.

A hot commodity, he then took a newly-promoted BC Donetsk team to a third-place finish in the 2008-2009 Ukrainian Basketball Super League, finishing as the league’s leading scorer despite suffering a season-ending knee injury. He re-upped for the following season but the team went bankrupt.

So Tucker returned to Israel in March 2010 playing for Bnei Herzliya (then Bnei Hasharon) until the end of the season where they made the State Cup final.

In August 2010, he signed with Aris BC in Greece but didn’t finish the season. There was a short stop in Italy where he played briefly for Sutor Basket Montegranaro but, after a 2011 summer stint with Quebadrillas Pirates in Puerto Rico, he moved on to Germany’s Brose Baskets Bamberg where he was named Finals MVP as they won the 2011-2012 German National Championship.

With Germany conquered, Tucker was on his way to play for Spartak St Petersburg in Russia when the Phoenix Suns came calling.
A Las Vegas League summer gig morphed into a full-time offer and Tucker’s NBA career resumed. It surprised him as well.

"I was ready to go (to Russia)," he recalled.

"I had signed in May to go with Spartak so I wasn’t interested in coming back."

But he did.

Phoenix may not have the beaches but Tucker is pleased that the warm Arizona weather is similar to what he enjoyed in Israel.

About midway through the season, Tucker has already played twice as many games as his first NBA go-round and has become a vital part of the Suns rotation.

The accolades of Europe – MVP and All-Star awards as well as scoring titles – may not follow but the appreciation of those who really matter, his coaches and teammates is there.

"I kept him on the team because he's a guy that gives you energy and does a lot of things for you," said Suns head coach Alvin Gentry. "You can never look at the box score and judge how he’s played in the game."

Suns captain Jared Dudley seconds his coach's take on Tucker.

"He adds toughness, especially on defense. He gets you extra possessions with offensive rebounds. Every team needs someone like that; he's our energy guy. He guards their best player. He works hard and knows what he has to do and works hard to get it done," he said.

And that suits Tucker just fine.

"Working hard. That’s right up my alley. That’s what I do," he said with a smile.
