El Concepto: "Caminar" o "Pasos" es avanzar en cualquier dirección con el balón mientras se mueve uno o ambos pies en una dirección mientras se sostiene el balón, lo cual significa cuando el jugador que recibe el balón mientras está avanzando o en la definición de un drible, se excede en el empleo de ritmo de dos tiempos en la parada, al pasar o lanzar el balón: lo que excede de los límites prescritos por las Reglas 4 - Sección VIII y Regla 10 - Sección XIV.

La Regla:  La regla del Avance ( "caminar" o "pasos" ) - y  las fórmulas estadísticas relacionadas - no han cambiado. Lo que ha cambiado es el uso común del ritmo de dos tiempos como un movimiento ofensivo. Árbitros y entrenadores están teniendo dificultad en determinar la diferencia entre un movimiento legal y uno ilegal. La llave para hacer esta determinación apropiadamente es primero encontrar el pie pivote. When correctly executed, a jab step will not be called as a traveling violation and we have no turnover here.
A jab step is a small step towards the opposing player using the non-pivot foot. It depends on the defensive player's reaction. It is used before a jump shot or a drive.

eBA Statistical Register: Only if the pivot-foot is lifted instead of the other, to make the jab step, we should have a traveling situation and a turnover forced by the opponent.

Fundamento de la Regla=
Si un jugador mientras está en el aire toma un balón vivo y aterriza sobre un pie, entonces ese pie se transforma en el pie pivote. Si un jugador salta sobre ese pie y se detiene aterrizando sobre ambos pies simultáneamente, entonces cualquier pie es el pivote.
Si un jugador mientras está en el aire toma un balón vivo y aterriza sobre ambos pies simultáneamente,  cualquier pie puede ser el pie pivote. El movimiento en el que un jugador eleva un pie del piso, el otro se transforma en el pivote.

Penalidad de la Regla=
En este escenario, el pie izquierdo será el pie pivote. Es por ello que no es 'caminar' cuando el jugador mueve su pie derecho mientras sostiene el balón.

Registro eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto=
En caso de caminar, una 'pérdida de balón no forzada' es registrada, a menos que la acción de un jugador oponente haya provocado esta violación, en cuyo caso registraremos una 'pérdida de balón forzada'.

Rule Fundamental=
If a player while in air catches a live ball and lands on one foot, then that foot becomes the pivot foot. If a player jumps off that foot and comes to a stop landing on both feet simultaneously, then neither foot is a pivot.
If a player while in air catches a live ball and lands on both feet simultaneously, either foot can be the pivot foot. The movement the player lifts one foot, the other foot becomes the pivot foot.

Rule's Penalty=
In this scenery, left foot will be the pivot foot. Hence it is not a 'travel' when the player moves his right foot while holding the ball.

eBA Basketball Statistics Registration=
In case of traveling, an 'unforced turnover' is registered, unless an opponent player's action caused this violation, in which case we'll register a 'forced turnover'

"Caminar" o "Pasos"  es:
  * Mover el pie pivote en exceso de los límites prescritos.
  * Sostener el balón y entonces tocar el piso con pies o manos - mientras se sostiene aun el balón.

La parte de la pregunta sobre el deslizamiento, es referente al zambullirse por el balón y en ese momento  se causa el deslizamiento. Esto es legal. Una vez que el jugador ha "parado" el jugador no puede - legalmente - deslizarse.

Traveling is:
