La Posesión no ha Sido Establecida

La regla dictamina que al equipo que no obtiene control del balón en un salto entre dos en el comienzo de un partido le será otorgado el balón para una puesta en juego en el lugar más cercano a donde ocurra la próxima situación de salto.

En la situación planteada, desde el momento en que la posesión no ha sido establecida, el juez no puede aplicar la regla de la posesión alternada para otorgar posesión. El juez debe realizar otro salto entre dos, A2 y B2,  en el círculo central.
Todo el tiempo que haya pasado en el reloj de juego, después de haber palmeado legalmente el balón y antes del balón retenido o la falta doble, permanecerán como segundos jugados.

Registro eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto=
No hay registro en el primer salto, pues no se estableció posesión. El segundo salto reemplaza estadísticamente al primero y será el que defina la primer posesión, por tanto no hay registro alguno de pérdida de balón ni recupero, y en el caso de falta doble, solamente se registrarán las faltas personales a cada jugador.
