Why is so complicated to be accepted in this eBA Forum: ISP e-mail address, previous checking by the administrator, being registered at the site....?

Because this is a limited Study Forum, where we don't chat about the 80+ Kobe Bryant's points or the last Shaquille O'Neal's dunk, but we ask, answer and discuss about the site's  thematics: the basketball statistical analysis.

Because we need to do that in a serious environment, professional and obliged with each sent message, keeping a good level and knowing how to protect it.

Because the eBA ONLINE Statistics Clinics need a secure and public space, in addition of course's forums, for the daily framework of programs and weekly dissertations.

....and, "finally", because our first free forum, fully open and without any restrictions - with approximately 1500 members and 25000 posts between our beginnings on 1998 till last 6 months on 2005 - was destroyed by spammers and hackers.....

Be patient... It's no so difficult... It's only one e-mail from your real ISP address... and finally IT IS FOR YOU !

Por qué es tan complicado ser aceptado en este Foro eBA : dirección e-mail del ISP, aprobación previa del administrador, registro previo en el sitio....?

Porque éste es un Foro limitado de Estudio, donde no conversamos sobre los 80+ puntos de Kobe Bryant o el último mate de Shaquille O'Neal , sino preguntamos, contestamos y discutimos sobre las temáticas del sitio: el análisis de las estadísticas del baloncesto.

Porque necesitamos hacerlo en un contorno serio, profesional y comprometido con cada mensaje enviado, manteniendo un buen nivel y sabiéndolo conservar.

Porque las Clínicas de Estadísticas de eBA EN-LINEA necesitan de un espacio seguro y público, además de los foros de los cursos, para el diario quehacer de los programas y las disertaciones semanales.

....y, "finalmente", porque nuestro primer foro libre, completamente abierto y sin ninguna restricción - con cerca de 1500 miembros y 25000 postas entre nuestro inicio en 1998 hasta hace 6 meses en 2005 - fue destruido por el spam y los hackers.....

02/09/08 - Me registré al Foro eBA usando un seudónimo, usado comúnmente en otros foros... y aún estoy esperando confirmación...
Nosotros requerimos el uso de su nombre real como nombre de usuario y muchos nos hacen la pregunta de porque no permitimos el uso  de seudónimos o nombres falsos, como ocurre en otros foros.
La razón por la que insistimos en nombres reales es porque encontramos este elemento como muy importante para estableces una plataforma seria a efectos de mostrar que la tecnología del Grupo eBA Stats está fundamentada científicamente en principios  basados en  gente real. Al utilizar nombres reales, nosotros mostramos que somos serios con respecto a esta tecnología de foro abierto y sus beneficios para sus usuarios. Además, nuestra experiencia en el pasado - nuestro primer Foro fue atacado y destruido ( ver arriba ) - ha sido que quienes desean inscribirse en el Foro con una falsa identidad  a menudo tienen intenciones destructivas y-o son spammers. Implementando esta política del nombre real en el formulario de inscripción ( en el foro pueden aparecer con otro nombre... ) nosotros no tenemos casi ningún problema con esos elementos en los Foros eBA lo cual es de gran alivio para todos nuestros usuarios registrados.

26/07/08 - Me registré correctamente y aún no tengo acceso a los foros reservados !
Ha Usted contestado al e-Mail que le fue enviado cuando se registró ? Una vez que nosotros recibamos esa respuesta, nosotros normalmente garantizamos acceso a los foros reservados dentro de las 48 horas. Además Usted será informado vía e-Mail cuando su acceso es liberado.

05/07/08 - Está su e-mail correctamente registrado en su perfil, con la dirección de e-mail provista por su ISP ?
Si su e-mail es del tipo de los sistemas gratuitos y los mensajes que le enviamos rebotan ( nos retornan con un mensaje como Usuario Desconocido, Casilla de Correo Repleta, etc. ), nosotros no podemos admitir esos registros al foro ni siquiera contactarnos con Usted ! Normalmente nosotros borramos las aplicaciones retornadas con mensaje Usuario Desconocido !

14/05/08 - No recibo vuestro e-mail después del registrarme !
Si utiliza Hotmail, Yahoo o algún protector anti SPAM, declare a la dirección ebastats@eba-stats.com como un remitente confiable o de correo deseado. De otra forma, los mensajes que se envíen desde nuestro sitio, no le llegaran o le llegaran como correo no deseado e irán a esa carpeta. Yahoo, en especial, suele marcar nuestros envíos como spam ! O bien, definitivamente, regístrese con la dirección de e-mail provista por su ISP ...

16/03/08 - He enviado la Aplicación para Miembro Pleno y solamente fui aceptado como miembro invitado normal !
Nosotros necesitamos de una verificación adicional sobre la reputación establecida en el sitio en el que Usted requirió ser Miembro Pleno de la eBA. Pulse aquí para las instrucciones de aplicación para Miembro Pleno de la eBA e inténtelo nuevamente !

02/01/08 - Soy un Miembro Registrado pero aún no puedo logearme en mi computadora !

09/02/08 - I registered this forum with a pseudonym, commonly used on other forums... and I am still waiting the confirmation...
We do ask you to use your real name as a username and we have been asked why we do not allow pseudonyms or false names, as usual on other forums.
The cause we are emphatic on real names is that we determine it of great value to set up a platform of great consequence in order to prove that eBA Stats Group technology have a base on scientifically based rules of personal conduct having a back on real people. By using real names, we testify that we are concerned with this technology of an open forum and the benefits for our members it supplies. Also, our experience in the past - our first Forum was hacked and destroyed ( see above ) - has been that those who want to become part of the forum with a false identity often have a troubled intent and/or are spammers.
By applying the real name plan of action in the registration form ( in the forum you can appear with another name... ) we have had  very close no problems with such elements on this eBA Forum which is a great easing to all our registered members.

07/26/08 - I registered correctly and still cannot access the forum !
Have you replied to the E-Mail that was sent to you when you registered? Once we receive your reply, you will normally be granted access to the forum within 48 hours. You are informed by E-Mail when access has been granted.

07/05/08 - Is your E-Mail address correctly registered in your Profile, with the e-mail address provided by your ISP ?
If your e-mail is a free-based one and the messages sent to you bounce ( returned to us with a message like User Unknown, Mailbox over Quota, etc. ), we cannot admit you to the forum or even contact you ! We normally delete applications that are returned with User Unknown !

To be able to avoid issues from Hotmail or Yahoo with not receiving e-mails from us (notification, weekly reports, confirmations, etc.) we kindly ask you to add our e-mail addresses ebastats@eba-stats.com to your white-list. 01/02/08 - I am a registered member, but still cannot login on my particular computer !
This forum uses Cookies ( files on your computer that store your login details so that you do not have to login each time you visit ) to help you login more easily. However, sometimes, there can be technical problems with your cookies that prevent you logging in. Therefore you must delete the cookies by means the 'tools' option of your browser. Once you have cleared your cookies, you should be able to login normally. You can also try logging out then logging back in again.

12/30/07 - Once you have completed registration and confirmed your Email address, you will be able to login to this forum, read the messages at the reserved boards, and  post new messages only after the Administrator has reviewed your application and approved it.

This web sites group started 10 years ago as a one site-10 pages labor of love, but has grown beyond all expectations: today the eBA Stats Group is comprised by 5 sites and more than 10.000 (and counting...) pages !
It is still a labour of love, but its popularity due to YOUR SUPPORT means that each month approximately four million pages are viewed !
Therefore we needed to migrate to a new and exclusive server last month, including a dedicated IP, which assured us a 100% uptime for the last 2 months!
Anyone in the eBA Stats Team receives a salary... but the server costs must be payed, a web site should be free but Internet is NOT !
What about adverts, affiliate schemes and Google adverts ? Everything together probably covered to just over the 50% of the maintenance costs over our 8 years life....

By the way, at our beginning we wanted to build clean sites without publicity... Utopia ?

Qué hay con avisos, programas afiliados y publicidad de Google ? Todo junto cubrió probablemente algo más del 50% de los gastos de mantenimiento durante nuestros 8 años de existencia....

Marzo 19, 2007: El  Directorio eBA del Básquetbol será editado en el formato Wikipedia con la participación y aporte exclusivos de los miembros Registrados como Editores de la Familia eBA Stats !

Marzo 15, 2007: Cuatro nuevos sitios independientes se suman a la Familia eBAstats.com:

Las Fiestas se están acercando, y entre regalos y festejos, los spammers y los hackers están trabajando horas extras, pidiendo su registro al Foro, cada día, minuto a minuto.

Debido a ello, y para asegurar que este Foro privado de estudio siga abierto a todos los miembros usuarios y visitantes en forma permanente, en especial para aquellos que participan en las Clínicas de Estadísticas del Baloncesto eBA, se ha deshabilitado la función de 'registrarse al foro' en forma automática.

A Usted no le gustaría ver este Foro interrumpido o la temática de su interés llena de enlaces a sitios comerciales, casino, pornografía o irrelevantes... a nosotros tampoco !

Holidays are coming, and between gifts and cups, spammers and hackers are working extra hours, asking to register this Forum, every minute of every day.

Therefore, and in order to assure that this private study Forum will continue permanently open to all the readers and members, specially to the participants at the eBA Basketball Statistics Clinics, the automatic 'forum register' function was disabled.

You would not like to see this Forum interrupted or the topic of your interest full of links to commercials, casino, porno or irrelevances... so we shouldn't like it too !

How to participate in the Forum from now ? First of all, read all the messages of this threads. Afterwards, if you want to make a questions or to participate in a topic's discussion, you have two ways:

Nuestras disculpas a todos nuestros miembros registrados e invitados por todos los inconvenientes en contactarnos ocurridos esta semana: ellos fueron provocados por dos ataques de hackers exactamente hace una semana y los trabajos de actualización que estamos haciendo en estas mismas horas en todos nuestros programas: el portal, las clínicas eBA EN-LINEA y este foro...

Vea dos mensajes más arriba, solamente hace unos días explicamos porque es tan difícil registrarse en los Proyectos de eBA Stats:

"....y, "finalmente", porque nuestro primer foro libre, completamente abierto y sin ninguna restricción - con cerca de 1500 miembros y 25000 postas entre nuestro inicio en 1998 hasta hace 6 meses en 2005 - fue destruido por el spam y los hackers....."

Y realmente... no es TAN difícil... se trata de un solo e-mail desde su dirección de su ISP... y finalmente ES POR USTED !

Our apologies to all our registered members and visitors by this week inconveniences in contacting us: it was  provocated by two hackers attacks one week ago and the upgrade works we are doing in this hours in all our programs: the portal, the eBA ONLINE Clinics and this forum...

See two messages above, only some days ago we explained why is so difficult to registrate eBA Stats Projects:

"....and, "finally", because our first free forum, fully open and without any restrictions - with approximately 1500 members and 25000 posts between our beginnings on 1998 till last 6 months on 2005 - was destroyed by spam and hackers....."

And really.... it's no so difficult... it's only one e-mail from your real ISP address... and finally IT IS FOR YOU !
