Reaching in is not a foul. The term is nowhere to be found in any rulebook. Why? There must be contact to have a foul. The mere act of "reaching in," by itself, is nothing. Desde el momento en que un tiempo muerto no puede ser otorgado hasta que un jugador descalificado sea reemplazado, el juez administrador debería preguntar al substituto si él es el reemplazante de A1. Si fuera así, el tiempo muerto puede ser concedido. Si no fuera así, el substituto deberá permanecer en la mesa de control y  el entrenador deberá aún reemplazar a A1 dentro del tiempo permitido por las reglas antes de que el tiempo muerto sea concedido.

From the moment a time-out may not be awarded until a disqualified player is replaced, the administering official should ask the the substitute at the scorer's table if he is the replacement for A1. If so, the time out me be awarded. If not, the substitute shall stay at the scorer's table and the coach must still replace A1 within the specified timeframe before the time-out may be awarded.

Como he explicado en este hilo: 'Los Ataques Rápidos y el Registro Estadístico', cuando explicamos el registro de las jugadas según la regla de los 24 segundos, el Sistema eBA de Análisis de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto registra esta estadística  en tablas por temporadas.
De la Clínica eBA EN-LINEA sabemos que el sistema registra las jugadas según la duración del reloj de lanzamientos, en 4 - 8 - 16 - 20 y 24 segundos. Por lo tanto, los ataque rápidos son aquellos registrados dentro de los primeros 4-5 segundos del reloj de lanzamientos, sin tomar en cuenta las palmadas después de rebote en ataque.
