La situación descripta es una violación de pista trasera sin lugar a dudas. El jugador obtuvo el control de un balón vivo puesto en juego desde el lateral cuando él estaba en situación de pista delantera y recién entonces pasó a pista trasera. La única liga que tiene una excepción para este caso es la NCAA, en todas las demás ligas es aún una violación.

The described situation is a backcourt violation without any doubt. The player gained control of a live ball inbounds when they had front court status and then went into the backcourt. The only league which have an exception for this case is the NCAA, in all the other leagues it is still a violation.

The turnover is not forced, but the game analyst problem is to which player register it= A2 is the player who commits the violation, but A1 is the player who makes the outbounds pass: A2 was in the air ? so A1 provokes the turnover; if A2 was on the floor and jumps after A1 releases the ball, so A2 is the responsible of the turnover ball.

The ball is not out of bounds until it either bounces or is touched by somebody who is out of bounds, so the touch by B is needed to make the ball out of bounds and it should be on him.

A young statistician or at live stats may wrongly think that it depends on whether if player B had intentions to play at the ball, if so then yes it would be considered to be out of bounds by him. Now if he didn't have intentions to do so then the ball is out of bounds on player A. Error.

The rules states that whoever makes physical contact with the ball last then it is out of bounds by the last person to touch the ball, so in that case it would be player B.

eBA Basketball Statistics Registration= The Player B turnover is forced by the action of Player A.

El balón no está fuera de juego hasta que o bota o es tocado por alguien que está fuera de juego, entonces es necesario el toque de B para que esté el balón fuera de juego y la acción debe recaer sobre él.

Un estadígrafo joven o en las estadísticas en tiempo real pueden pensar erróneamente que esto depende de si el jugador tenía intenciones de jugar el balón, en cuyo caso podría considerarse un fuera de juego del mismo. Fundamento de la Regla= En una puesta en juego, el sacador debe pasar el balón ( no entregarlo en las manos ) a un compañero ubicado en el campo de juego. Entregar el balón en las manos a un jugador dentro del campo de juego violaría el intento de la regla de lanzamiento de puesta en juego.

Aplicación de la Regla= Una violación del lanzamiento de puesta en juego ha sido cometida por A1. El balón debe abandonar la(s) mano(s) del jugador para el pase sea considerado legal. El balón es conferido al equipo B para una puesta en juego desde el lugar más cercano a donde la violación ocurrió.

Registro Estadístico eBA= Pérdida de Balón No Forzada en contra de A1. Recupero de Balón No Forzada de Equipo para el equipo B.
Si algún jugador del equipo B hubiera estado implicado en la acción, marcación cerrada sobre el receptor A2 la cual condujo a la violación, por ejemplo, el analista debería considerar la posibilidad de registrar un Recupero Forzado a favor de ESE jugador del equipo B.

Rule Fundamental= On a throw-in, the thrower-in must pass the ball ( not hand the ball )  to a team-mate on the playing court. To hand the ball to a player on the court would violate the intent of a throw-in rule.

Rule Applicability= A throw-in violation has been committed by A1. The ball must leave the player's hand(s) in order for the throw-in to be considered legal. The ball is awarded to team B for a throw-in from the place nearest to where the violation occurred.

eBA Statistical Register= Unforced Turnover against A1. Team Unforced Steal for team B.
In the case that some team B' player was involved in the action, a close defense over the receiver A2 which was conducive to the violation, for example, the game analyst would consider the possibility of registering a Forced Steal in favour of THAT team B's player.
